KINGDOM PEOPLE!! Hope you all are doin awesome and having a BLAST wherever you find yourself.

We have hit the ground running in 2012! SO MUCH ON, but what I really love about this time is the fresh vision and revelation that God brings for the new year…and the answers to prayer!

God is up to something In your churches, and flowing down into your ministry and your own personal lives, God has something NEW for us for this season. Believe it!

I was recently reading 2nd Samuel 24:18-25 and it challenged and encouraged me again…in a nutshell, David heard the word of God, and so obeyed by building an altar. He was offered everything he needed to sacrifice but chose to ‘over pay’ for the materials instead; then he said the famous words, “I will not sacrifice to the LORD my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing.” BOOM!!

David knew that his offering needed to be expensive…it’s meaningless if it isn’t! When we are pouring worth on something else we need to deplete our own. There was purpose in what he was doing, he was seeking God for a specific result, answers to prayer for his people.

More than ever we have realised that whenever we bring our offering of worship, it needs to be costly. Have we been in prayer for our congregations and leaders? Have we totally prepared before we go up on stage? Are we punctual, do we tithe diligently, are we leading others, reading and obeying the word…do we have a specific request from God? Are we expectant!?

We’ve realised that it is so crucial that we respect ‘the altar’ and the honour we have been given to lead people to lay their lives down and worship. It isn’t us that they have come to meet or hear but Jesus! In the end king David’s sacrifice was acceptable and God answered his prayer! Let’s cut no expense in laying our lives down daily, showing God how serious we are about our requests for the people we lead…we can’t afford not to!

We have been totally blown away by the response to our song ‘The Altar’. We pray that it blesses you and your churches ridiculously and that you can make it a daily prayer!

Bless ya guys. JG

Long time y’all! The sweet work of our site hacker left us without ‘blog-ability’ for a little while…Our website is now back up so we are good to go!

We are in ALBUM MODE people! It’s definitely a ‘mode’ for us in the band! It’s a common headspace we all need to be in to survive the late nights, extra rehearsals, demoing, pre production, planning, recording, wondering where we are gonna get the money from!..It becomes tough working around our already busy schedules, day jobs and families, escpecially with Christmas just around the corner!… But we LOVE it and wouldn’t have it any other way.

I LOVE ALBUM MODE! Getting the creative juices flowing, smashing out your greatest performance in the studio and hearing the songs ‘evolution’ into its finished product. So rewarding. Seriously can’t wait to share with everyone.

Even though we released ‘Light Has Come’ in 08 this new album still feels like it will be our first…It’s a new sound, a new song! Psalm 40:3, He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the LORD…Love it.

Another ‘first’ for us will be shooting a video for the first single from the album, ‘Your Love Is Forever’…BOOM! A rockin little tune that may even make you wanna dance…more to come!

So we are BUSY!!! Hard at work getting this looking and sounding the best it can and working with the insanely talented Michael Paynter for the first time… that’s another blog in itself!

Talk soon

Josh

We’ve had an amazing time so far doing what we do, just serving God and people with the grace He has given us. It’s been around 3 years that we have had the privilege of being part of this band/ministry/movement and though we are pushing forward, fixed on our goals we can’t help but to take moments to remember, and love the journey we’re on…Packing the cars so full of gear that there’s no room for luggage…or ourselves, the overnight interstate drives, the hilarious laughter, coming within inches from killing Australia’s native animals on those drives, running out of petrol in the middle of nowhere, hilarious laughter, feeling sorry for Melissa being stuck with all us guys, being stung by airlines for oversized/overweight items, the incredible people that we have built relationship with, the support of the amazing church we belong to, our leaders/pastors releasing us, leading people into the undeniable/life changing presence of God, hearing our songs on radio, the hilarious laughter, the messages we receive from people being blessed by the music, rocking out with your best mates, hearing that churches all over are singing the songs and their people are being blessed and changed!

We’ve come to realise that this thing is so much bigger than just us or our music, and that fact humbles and drives us. We love rocking out and having fun but in the end we know that people haven’t come to see us but to see and encounter Jesus…and never be the same. It’s as small as one person with renewed hope confessing ‘I am The Kingdom’, which in turn affects a generation that walks by faith together bringing ‘The Kingdom’ to wherever they are.

I believe more than ever that we need to love what we do and do it with all our might as unto God, love and serve the church we’re are planted in with all your might, the people who you partner with, the journey that we’re on. It’s these experiences, this joy ride that defines us and fuels us toward our purpose in God. Josh

Hey all, hope you’ve all been really well. So it was really exciting to see our facebook page tip over 1000 likes last week. For a little band like us it means a whole lot. It shows us that the music that we’re making is spreading its way around to people that we never thought it could. So hello to all our new friends, and thank you to all our long time friends for sticking around. Coming up on JULY 1st- we will be playing at the Metro West Groudswell for YOUTH ALIVE at ENJOY CHURCH. We feel heaps honoured to be invited, and we know that it’s going to be an amazing night! Enjoy church is a great venue to play at, and Youth Alive always put on amazing events- WIN WIN! Not only is it in Melbourne, but it’s on our home ground- The Western suburbs! For event details go to our TOUR DATES page. And last but not least- we have been hitting the studio hard the past few months. We have been doing writing and pre-production for our next release. We will begin recording in July. The other exciting thing about this is that the our next project will be produced by M Squared Productions, which is a production group consisting of Michael Paynter and Myself (Michael DeLorenzis). Of course I’m in the band, and have done our work before. But this is the first time we will be working with someone outside of the band- so it’s exciting to get some new perspective from an extremely talented individual like Paynter. So until next time, see you all on July 1st at West Metro Youth Alive! MD

Unfortunately today is probably going to be remembered as the day that got flooded. I won’t dwell on it long- but I will say that the staff and crew at Easterfest did their very best to keep everyone as safe as they could. I haven’t heard of any serious injuries so far. However even though the day ended like that- there is so much good that happened today as well. We had a blast playing our set at the RED FROGS stage. We saw all you guys come out to support us, and it meant so much. Our set was a heap of fun, and it seemed like everyone had a great time too.we had a great interview with the girls from the New Generation magazine- who release a teenage girl mag, and teenage boy mag. The mainstagers this evening were absolutely amazing!! Art Of Sleeping, Michael Paynter, Peter Furler- and it was Neworldson and Switchfoot who marched on in the rain to lift the spirits of those who had the guts to stay. No doubt this is a day we will remember, and tell stories about for years to come. Tomorrow we will be at On The Edge church leading worship. Would be great to see you if your around. Otherwise we will be popping up around a few stages for some cameo perromances. Keep an ear out on twitter/Facebook and we will keep you posted about them. If your in Toowoomba- please take care and stay safe. THE KINGDOM

What an amazing day we’ve had. This has already become the most memorable Easterfest for us! We had the honor of leading worship for the Good Friday service. The Big Top was packed with 4000 people coming to remember the greatest act of Love man has ever seen. We lifted up the name of Jesus together- it’s our favorite thing to do. Shortly after we were back in the Big Top- ready to rock our best songs. As the time came for the set to start we were awestruck by the amount of people who had come to hear us play. It is the biggest crowd we have ever had at our set. We saw the crowd start at 1000, and move to 1500 by the end of the set!! So many sang along and chanted with us- the sound in the room was HUGE! it was great to play a new song of ours called ‘LOVERS @ HEART’ (which we’re playing again tomorrow.) we then did a live interview for RHEMA FM live to air. To all who came along today- Thank you so much for supporting us and making memories that will stay with us forever! We hope to see you again tommorow- 11:30am in the RED FROGS tent.

People in ‘The Kingdom’, long time no blog! Thought I’d give you all an update on how everything’s rockin in Kingdom town. Well…we have been BUSY! : ) Since out last blog, In the lead up to Easterfest and in the coming weeks and months we are/have been totally booked! ROCK ON! We are loving every minute of this journey and really see God’s hand all over it. We’ve really grown as musicians, writers, producers, worship leaders, followers of Christ so far this year in a noticeable way and this leads us to believe we are doing something right. We can only thank God for this/His grace.Again we thankyou all for your amazing support thus far. The amazing friends and connections we have made, our church leaders for releasing/believing in us. We are so humbled. The singles ‘How it Was’ and ‘Love Away’ continue to get solid airplay around the country and more and more people are connecting/encountering God, through the music. Incredible.

However, in our travels we have heard the cries, the desperation (slightly exaggerated) not unlike our young mate Oliver wanting more!!!…”Any new songs in the mix?”…”Will we hear any new music soon?”…”When’s the new album coming?”…”Is the Guanzon gonna get any hotter?” Answers: Yes, Yes, Yes and I don’t think it’s humanly possible!

The low down:

- We are currently working on our NEW ALBUM!!! To be released late 2011! The track list is coming together awesomely and we are so excited and pumped, can’t wait for you to hear the new stuff. Stay tuned for lead up dates and glimpses!

- We are pumped for EASTERFEST! We will be worship leading in the opening Good Friday service and have two other shows through the festival. We are also involved in the ‘Empty Chair Project’ and totally giddy for Switchfoot and Naturally 7!

- We are honoured to be part of the CMA – Christian Media conference in May once again.

- We are so passionate about churches and leading people into the presence of God and can only Praise ‘Him’ for the many opportunities we have throughout the rest of the year. We are so passionate about ‘our’ church and continue to serve and see God move/change lives in every meeting!

- If ya didn’t know – charts to all our music are available right here on the site for FREE! Our EP is also still FREE as well as our love ‘nawwwwe’ : ) That’s free for free!

That’s the latest and I promise we will keep you updated a lot more : )Everywhere we go, we/you are ‘The Kingdom’

WOW! what a year 2010 has been. For us it has really been one of the most exciting years in the life of THE KINGDOM. We are so proud of our ‘Love Away’ project. It has really been such a blessing to see all you lovely people enjoy listening to it. 2010 has also been our busiest year so far in terms of live shows. The closest that come to mind is the Compliments of Gus Victoria tour. We had so much fun playing with those guys, but even more fun was meeting new people along the way. We are already heavily booked in 2011, which is already shaping up to be far busier than 2010. We feel so humbled to see that The Kingdom is something that is moving forward. And the whole idea is that we represent The Kingdom of God. So it’s great to see that our music is making a difference in the world. Our last “gig” of the year will be on Light FM Christmas eve, at around 8am. We are singing “Silent Night”, to celebrate Christmas with all our melbournian family. Go check out our TOUR DATES page to see our already confirmed dates for 2011, we hope to see you somewhere there! Until our next blog, Merry Christmas!
Hey peoples just a quick update and blog about the latest happenings in The Kingdom…

The new single ‘Love Away’ has been released and currently rocking radio right around Oz including LightFM in Melbourne Town : ). We recently played acoustic versions of the song live on the Luke & Lucy breakfast and Green Room shows…heaps of fun! Our EP ‘Love Away’ has now been released on Itunes in a new ‘deluxe version!’ New acoustic versions of Love Away and How it was, a How it Was Remix by Joth Hunt and demo of Your Love all included for your listening pleasure-ness. We have already lined up plenty of dates for 2011 including Forest Edge Festival and Easterfest and heaps more in VIC and NSW. We are also working behind the scenes writing and preparing for new music that we know you will LOVE!…Not long.

Well, as you know we are supporting the well oiled COG (Compliments of Gus) on their current Victorian Tour!

Having an absolute ball along the way as you do with those guys & gal, it is always a pleasure catching up with great friends and at the moment its weekly! : ). 4 out of 5 of us ‘Kingdomites’ have known Jared and Bec Haschek since Jared recorded and mixed out very first youth band album back in the day! Aaaa good times…

Well out first stop on the tour was at Kardinia CC! A fantastic bunch of Geelongites came out for the night and were treated to a good 2.5 hours of great music with a good dose of comedy! 30 mins of The Kingdom and 2+hrs of the Compliments! I remember checking out their set list of 16 songs and thinking…’I hope one day we will be able to rock a tour that huge!’ Pure Rock… Watching the Gus is always a crack up with Justin and Jared bouncing randomness off each other and then tying it into the next songs….or not!? lol….they are kings. Everyone was really responsive, really getting into it despite it being a sit down event…they are just a very cool bunch down there!

Can’t wait for this weekend for more rockin with The Kingdom in Ringwood and Warragul!!
