We’ve had an amazing time so far doing what we do, just serving God and people with the grace He has given us. It’s been around 3 years that we have had the privilege of being part of this band/ministry/movement and though we are pushing forward, fixed on ou
r goals we can’t help but to take moments to remember, and love the journey we’re on…Packing the cars so full of gear that there’s no room for luggage…or ourselves, the overnight interstate drives, the hilarious laughter, coming within inches from killing Australia’s native animals on those drives, running out of petrol in the middle of nowhere, hilarious laughter, feeling sorry for Melissa being stuck with all us guys, being stung by airlines for oversized/overweight items, the incredible people that we have built relationship with, the support of the amazing church we belong to, our leaders/pastors releasing us, leading people into the undeniable/life changing presence of God, hearing our songs on radio, the hilarious laughter, the messages we receive from people being blessed by the music, rocking out with your best mates, hearing that churches all over are singing the songs and their people are being blessed and changed!
We’ve come to realise that this thing is so much bigger than just us or our music, and that fact humbles and drives us. We love rocking out and having fun but in the end we know that people haven’t come to see us but to see and encounter Jesus…and never be the same. It’s as small as one person with renewed hope confessing ‘I am The Kingdom’, which in turn affects a generation that walks by faith together bringing ‘The Kingdom’ to wherever they are.
I believe more than ever that we need to love what we do and do it with all our might as unto God, love and serve the church we’re are planted in with all your might, the people who you partner with, the journey that we’re on. It’s these experiences, this joy ride that defines us and fuels us toward our purpose in God. Josh
